Zale Tabakman, President of Local Grown Salads will be a featured presenter at the Food Marketing Institute and Grocery Manufacturers Association’s Global Sustainability Summit in Nashville, TN on August 11, 2017. The Summit provides tools and solutions for food companies to make themselves and their products sustainable and future-ready.
Zale’s presentation, “The Future of Food Sustainability: Local and Indoor Vertical Farming”, will provide actionable understanding of indoor vertical growing and what the technology will mean to retailers and food service.
Indoor Vertical Growing Technology means:
- Fresher vegetables with a longer shelf life
- More nutritious and healthier vegetables with no pesticides, no herbicides and no fungicides
- Better taste, because vegetables are grown locally and don’t travel
Presentation attendees will learn how indoor vertical growing addresses food safety challenges and creates new opportunities.
